Forest Hill is a popular, oversubscribed school drawing pupils from a wide area of Lewisham and Southwark. Its pupil population reflects the social and ethnic diversity of this inner city area. The school is actively involved in many aspects of its local community and increasingly becoming a focal point for community activity. It is the site for Lewisham's City Learning Centre which offers state of the art ICT facilities to local schools, teachers and the community. Adult Learning classes and a thriving Turkish Saturday school reflect this involvement. As a boys school, Forest Hill believes that it is successfully challenging male stereotypical values, not least through focussing extensively on the Arts both within, and outside of, curriculum time.
